Job Description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Facility Maintenance professional to join our TEAM! Ensure the functionality, safety, and efficiency of assigned non-production-related facilities and equipment by executing and coordinating maintenance, contractor activities, inspections, and improvement projects across the plant.

This is a flexible position — area and task may evolve based on plant needs.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Lubrication storage area
• Building HVAC systems (including cleaning and filter replacement)
• Internal, external doors and gates
• Dock locks
• Roof and roof fans
• Fire system (including sprinkler systems, fire pump and generator, fire alarm system)
• Compressor, compressor room and related accessories
• Signs, and safety devices not related to production equipment
• Parking lot and surrounding external areas (including fields area)
• Plumbing systems and services
• Support the Safety Team:
• Ladders (monthly inspections and tracking)
• Lifting devices (chain falls, chokers, come-alongs)
• Waste area and dumpster

Key Tasks and Duties

• Complete tasks to maintain the facility, non-production-related facilities organized and functional in assigned areas
• Evaluate and coordinate the intervention of contractors when needed
• Address non-compliance in the assigned area when necessary
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper upkeep of external working areas, either by direct action or through supervision of assigned personnel or services
• Perform regular walkthroughs of assigned areas
• Draft, request, and validate SOPs for assigned areas
• Create, modify, and complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks in SAP
• Execute work and other duties as needed required to maintain manufacturing and office facilities (i.e.): light electrical, painting, minor restoration work, clean, fabrication of parts, plumbing and water piping, roof leak when safe to do so.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance of assigned company-owned moving equipment
• Receive and complete daily work folders containing facility-related work orders (not tied to production equipment)
• Perform daily maintenance checks and record readings on compressors and fire protection systems
• Handle facility maintenance-related purchases and parts (i.e. order parts, store)
• Be accountable for maintenance utilization KPIs (via KRONOS and work orders)
• Support shift maintenance teams when required
