Pharmacy Assistant

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
• Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays
• Employment Type: W2, Full-Time
• Start Date: ASAP
ROLE IMPACT
The Pharmacy Assistant supports daily warehouse and shipping operations in a specialty pharmacy environment, ensuring medications and supplies are packed, handled, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high-quality service standards, operational safety, and compliance while providing reliable support to the pharmacy and fulfillment teams. Success in this position is measured by accuracy, teamwork, and consistent execution of daily fulfillment goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and package medications for shipment, ensuring product integrity, sterility, and regulatory compliance
• Verify shipping details, manifests, and invoices for accuracy; escalate discrepancies as needed
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the dock, packing, and storage areas; reset workstations daily
• Restock supplies and rotate cold-chain materials such as ice packs and coolers
• Support receiving and dock operations, including moving, lifting, and organizing boxes up to 25 lbs
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to resolve shipping issues and ensure timely order fulfillment
• Secure and lock all pharmacy and storage areas at the end of the business day
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with physical work and standing for extended periods (up to 95% of shift)
• Flexible schedule with ability to work rotating Saturdays

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Onsite warehouse and dock setting within a climate-controlled pharmacy facility (A/C and heat)
• Regular standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and manual handling of boxes and shipping materials
